If one is defined by what the one does, the enumeration below should sketch a pretty good outline of me. Below are the highlights of my life so far. Since ‘dots connect only backward’, I’m looking forward to my next move where all of this will come together:
- Applying business and information management skills at Behavior Design Works to develop evidence based insights into the programs which enable people/communities to adopt more active life style and develop more sustainable approaches towards consuming resources like energy and water
- Worked for Land O’Lakes International Development Division as Regional Manager Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning providing support to development projects in Asia, Middle East and North Africa. Prior to joining global team, led M&E and IT functions with Pakistan country team on a ‘Food for Education’ project aimed at promoting female education in one of the most backward and least developed districts of Pakistan
- Acumen Fund Fellowship (Global Fellow ‘2010) – A year long Leadership Development Program in Social Enterprise space; focusing on market based solutions for poverty elimination/social development through application of patient capital and moral imagination
- A career in Strategic Management of IntelliMax – an industrial automation software products suite by SENSYS Inc.; I have been responsible for Product Positioning and Brand Management, as Associate Product Manager
- MBA with concentration in Marketing and Finance from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), graduated in May 2008
- Consultancy project on Financial Modeling for Power Purchase Tariff Determination for National Electric Power Regulatory Authority Pakistan (NEPRA)
- Brief period of experience in Social Development Sector (Market Research & Micro-enterprise Development) with Citizen Network for Foreign Affairs (CNFA Inc.), in summer of 2007
- Brief period of experience in Microfinance Sector with State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), in summer of 2007
- Unique professional experience, spanning over six years, with INTECH Process Automation on leading a startup software products development firm through whole Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in different roles starting from Software Engineer to Project Manager
- BS in Computer Science from FAST-NUCES, graduated in 2001
- Thorough Sportsman – more in spirit than skills
- Orator – to contribute towards social awareness
- Poet – only a few lines ‘coz Quality does matter
- Geography – Asian, Pakistani
